Churchill Howard are partnering with a FTSE Listed business to recruit a Financial Accountant - This is An exciting opportunity for a first time mover from practice to join a first in industry finance function. This role blends financial reporting expertise with hands-on business partnering, supporting decision-making and driving process improvements across the organisation.

The Role:
You’ll take ownership of IFRS 16 lease accounting and support wider group reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and insightful financial analysis. Beyond the technical, you’ll partner with operational and commercial teams to understand the financial impact of leasing and asset decisions, helping shape strategy and optimise performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of IFRS 16 lease accounting, including contract review, recognition, and reconciliations.

Maintain and enhance the lease accounting system, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.

Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting, providing clear analysis and commentary.

Partner with FP&A, property, and operational teams to model leasing scenarios and support strategic decisions.

Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and controls.

Contribute to wider finance projects, including system enhancements and audit support.

About You:

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

Confident communicator able to build relationships across finance and operations.

Analytical mindset with a proactive, solution-driven approach.

Experience with large data sets or lease management systems is advantageous.
