The Opportunity
This is a high-impact FP&A Data Analyst role sitting at the heart of a large, complex, listed organisation. You’ll support the Group FP&A function by owning the data, automation, and analytical engine that underpins executive decision-making.
Rather than producing static reports, you’ll build scalable data models, automate forecasting and planning processes, and transform complex financial data into clear, actionable insight for senior stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining finance, coding, and commercial thinking to drive better outcomes.
The Role
As an FP&A Data Analyst, you will partner closely with Group FP&A, Finance Business Partners, and senior leadership to design, maintain, and enhance the data infrastructure supporting budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, and long-term planning.
You will act as the technical backbone of FP&A, improving data quality, speeding up insight delivery, and enabling the finance team to move away from manual processes toward automated, intelligent analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Design and maintain automated FP&A models supporting budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans
Build advanced Power BI dashboards for board-level and executive reporting
Develop and optimise VBA solutions to streamline recurring FP&A processes
Use Python to manipulate large datasets, automate workflows, and perform advanced analysis
Integrate and reconcile data across multiple source systems (ERP, planning tools, operational systems)
Improve data governance, accuracy, and consistency across Group FP&A
Partner with senior FP&A leaders to translate business questions into robust analytical solutions
Reduce manual effort, cycle times, and risk through process automation and smarter data design
What We’re Looking For
Essential
Strong experience supporting FP&A or commercial finance functions
Advanced Power BI (data modelling, DAX, dashboard design)
Strong VBA capability for automation and modelling
Python proficiency for data analysis and process automation
Excellent understanding of financial data structures (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
Ability to communicate complex analysis clearly to non-technical stakeholders
