Head of Audit and Risk
£95,000 to £112,000pa
The role will oversee the internal audit function and empower the senior audit manager and team to deliver the yearly audit plan on budget in line with the audit and risk committee expectations. The role involves collaborating with the executive helping to provide advice and guidance on risk and controls across the business and educating and discussing potential issues and awareness at a strategic level.
- Provide the board with assurances and key findings around risk
- Regular liaison with the Audit Committee
- Manage direct reports
- Review and advise on controls and risk management
- Advise the Executive and Audit and Risk Committee on the effectiveness of the organisations risk processes
- Monitoring budget against expenditure
- Budgetary control
- H & S policy development
To be considered for the role you should have several years relevant experience in audit, controls and risk management. You should be able to demonstrate budgeting experience and plan and forecast changes as well as plan for contingencies. You will also have gained exposure to audit committees and led and contributed in key meetings. You should be prepared to be able to liaise at board level on the value of risk assessment and risk management across the business.
You will have a relevant degree and be ACA/ACCA/ICAS or equivalent.
